How to update an address on your Aadhaar Card?

  • By visiting the UIDAI portal, you can make changes to or update your Aadhaar card.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered cellphone number after inputting your Aadhaar number. To move to the next page, enter the OTP and select the address option.
  • By selecting the modify option, you may change the address. Then, you will have to provide self-attested documentary proof of your new address. Before you select continue again, carefully complete this process and double-check all the information.
  • You will be given an Update Request Number (URN) following this submission. This URN can be used to monitor the application’s progress. As an alternative, you can bring the supporting documentation and your current Aadhaar card to the nearest Aadhaar permanent enrolment centre. You must complete this Aadhaar repair form and make the changes noted above. You must pay Rs. 25 for each update or modification.
  • You must go to the closest Aadhaar permanent enrollment centre to update or change your registered mobile number as well. Bring your Aadhaar card to finish the procedure.
